We have eaten at the Mandarin Kitchen for years. The present owners/staff always greet us with friendly smiles and seat us promptly. The food is excellent and there is always enough to take home for another meal or two. If you haven't eaten at this restaurant you are really missing out.

I live in Des Moines and Mandarin Kitchen is the best in town, in fact, I cannot think of another Asian Restaurant around that has better food. During the week their lunch specials cannot be beat, I'm not sure if they have them on the weekends or not. The are fast, friendly always welcome you with a smile. Their prices are outstanding as well. Normally, if you go to a Asian restaurant with your family you can expect to pay at least $50 or $60 for a family of 4 or 5, Mandarin Kitchen bill will be in the 40's.
If you're eating in Des Moines, save yourself some time and just go straight to the Mandarin Kitchen, you'll get hooked after one visit.
