The North Fork of the Skykomish River is "a whitewater rafting roller coaster ride" five miles long through the WILD SKY WILDERNESS.
We start this adventure at the River House in Index, our beautifully restored adventure facility. Here you'll view our safety video and receive your river gear; a wetsuit, booties, helmet, and pfd (changing rooms provided). Next, we'll shuttle you up to our private campground where you'll be treated to an informative and fun "paddle talk" from your guide prior to launching the rafts. Our launch spot, at the confluence of Trout Creek and the North Fork of the Skykomish River, is a tributary known for its plentiful minerals and mining significance. Once on the water, you'll enjoy Class III waves and wooded surrounding, topped by amazing snow-capped mountain views as we travel downriver to the River House. Quick turns, sudden drops, and lots of whitewater will keep you on your toes. This river trip is ideal for the experienced paddler, or adventurous beginners! A popular adventure for businesses, family reunions, college groups, bachelor parties, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Limited Season! The North Fork trip is available only at "early season" water levels (6,000+ cfs) and has a very limited spring/early summer availability. Join us in April, May, or June for this amazing trip.
